1. Who we are

Snapfixly is a business based in the United Kingdom ("Snapfixly", "we", "us", "our"). Snapfixly is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. You can contact us at enquiries@snapfixly.co.uk.

2. What we collect

• Contact details: name, email address, phone number, postcode.
• Enquiry content: photos, dimensions, descriptions of the job, vehicle model and finance company (for end-of-lease checks), return dates and any notes you provide.
• Account details (tradespeople only): email address, service area and profile information.
• Usage & device data: pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, browser and device information, and cookies (see section 8).
• Support & comms: messages you send us and our replies.

Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor, not by us. We receive only limited transaction data (such as order status and the last four digits of the card where Stripe shares them).

3. How we use your data and legal bases

• Provide the Service — generating reports, matching enquiries to tradespeople, sending confirmation and report emails. Legal basis: performance of a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
• Payments & fraud prevention — via Stripe. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests in preventing fraud.
• Security, service integrity and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Improving Snapfixly — usage analytics and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent for non-essential cookies where required.
• Legal & regulatory compliance. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Marketing to customers about similar services, which you can opt out of at any time. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or consent where required.

4. Who we share it with

• Stripe — our payment processor for card payments, fraud prevention and invoicing.
• Independent tradespeople and garages you ask us to introduce you to, so they can quote and, where you have paid for booking, arrange the work.
• Service providers & subprocessors — hosting, database, storage, email, analytics, error monitoring and AI providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
• Professional advisers — legal and accounting.
• Authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers are based outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses with UK addendum.

6. Retention

We keep enquiry data, photos and reports for up to 24 months so we can support you if you come back or if a dispute arises. Financial and transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting rules. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@snapfixly.co.uk. We aim to respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, where you consent, analytics cookies to understand how it is used. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and vetted processors — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The version in force is the one on this page.
